Why I Chose Internet Marketing When Deciding On A New Business Model

I have tried my hand at a number of businesses from MLM, Network Marketing, Operating a Franchise to owning a Car Dealership, Land Development Company and Investment Firm.  Some of these panned out and others…well, not so much.  The point is that what true entrepreneurism is, the ability to take calculated risk and throw it all up against the wall and see what sticks.  In baseball, if you bat .300 you are a potential all-star.  Yet, this means that you are getting out 7 out of 10 at bats.  In basketball, to shoot 40% from the three-point line is world class.  But again, this means that you are missing 6 out of 10 three pointers.  Being an entrepreneur is really in the same category.  You will lose far more than you will win, but all it takes is one win to totally change your life forever.  That being said, I really wanted to look for a business that gave me the highest odds of winning, that had a flexible schedule, didn’t take a ton of start-up capital and that I could work from home.  Internet Marketing met every single requirement on my short list.

Running your own on-line business is not as cookie cutter as it may seem.  You’re not just walking around the house in pajamas, periodically glancing at your computer to see how much money it’s printing.  So, if that’s what you had in mind, you may want to skip the rest of this article.  However, it is far more tolerable than fighting morning and evening rush hour traffic, punching a clock, attending numerous pointless meetings and all for pennies compared to what you are really worth.  Even if you are self-employed, you are the business.  Many times you must slave over the business more so than the average employee, because it all begins and ends with you.  There is no way to automate everything that must get done if your small business is going to be successful.  Trust me, been there and done that too!  Internet marketing takes work and consistent daily action, but the payoff is absolutely tremendous.  For example, there are countless stories of those that came into this industry on the brink of bankruptcy, foreclosure or after being laid off and within 6 months turned their misfortune into a 5-figure per month fortune!  I personally know of 5 different guys that were by all means considered statistical losers, yet they leveraged the power of online marketing to become top earning marketers.

Furthermore, operating an online work from home business gave me the flexibility needed to be there with my children and wife while I grow the business.  So often you hear of entrepreneurs that work and struggle for years, often-times sacrificing those closest to them, only to one day make it but lose their family in the process.  That was nearly me.  I was always away from home working for the family, but neglecting the very loved ones I said I was doing it for!  Not as an internet marketer.  Not only do I not have to log 8 hour days, but even the 3-4 hours that I put in are still spent with family.  I sneak off to my office, knock out a few marketing strategies and in between marketing still have time to wrestle with my sons, kiss on my little baby girl and play house with the wife!  In all honesty, this is the most liberating, stress free, financially rewarding business endeavor that I have ever experienced.

So that’s why I choose internet marketing as my next and probably last business model.  Whatever I do in the future, I can assure you it will have online marketing involved in some capacity or another.  If you are looking for a very rewarding, financially enriching, low stress option to the daily rat race, then I would implore you to also check out internet marketing as your next business venture as well.

Massive Computer Home Based Business Flaws

There are thousands of new excited and courageous entrepreneurs that venture out to start their new work from home business only to fade away like falling stars less than 6 months later.  Why?  The answer really is quit simple.  A “home based business” is still just that – a business.  However, for some reason, most that cast off into this new world of entrepreneurship think that you don’t have to run it like a business or they simply don’t know how to run a business.  Either way, the point here is that most computer home based businesses fail because the founder (that’s you) failed to prepare properly and did not operate their new internet marketing business like a business.  So, allow me to help a bit.  There are two primary things that you must do if you are going to succeed in this business.  They are, in order of importance, Proper Planning and finding the Proper Counsel.

Proper planning incorporates a multitude of things, yet, we will focus on the few that are essential to your future success.  The first is that you would much rather fail on paper than in reality.  This simply means write out your vision, research the industry, forecast how much you may have to spend, forecast your return on investment and estimate the amount of time it will take you to accomplish this.  Now this sounds elementary, but this is essential to the success of your new business.  I’m not saying you need a business plan, but you do need to do your own due diligence to map out your strategy and understand the monthly expenses associated with your internet marketing business.  The second proponent of proper planning is identifying an exclusive work area.  The worst thing you can do is work in an environment that you also relax within.  Case in point, leave the bedroom and create you a mini office somewhere else within the house that will allow you the ability to focus 100% of your effort on your new business.  If you don’t have that luxury, then leave each day and work from a Wi-Fi location that will allow you to concentrate.

After you have done your due diligence and set aside a game plan and dedicated work space, you now need to link yourself to your new Mentor.  Yes, you are in business for yourself, but you will almost assuredly fail if you stay in business by yourself.  You need to have a living example of what works, how to work it, what applications to purchase, how to automate it, etc…  You quit simply need to copy the expert.  If you are looking to make $10,000 in the next 6 months, then you need to link yourself with someone that’s currently profiting over $10,000 per month.  If you are looking to generate 50 leads per day, then find a willing mentor that already generates over 50 leads per day.  This is simply attracting your desired outcome by the law of association.  If you are partnering with a top internet marketer, than you great increase your chances of also becoming a top internet marketer.  The key is it needs to be someone that’s willing to teach you and that has already accomplished that which you desire to accomplish.

So, if you start your new business off with the implementation of the above two principles, you have just tripled your chances of success.  I have yet to meet one single successful entrepreneur that didn’t properly plan and that didn’t have someone that ushered them into their success.  Why should you be any different?  Remember, proper planning, right alliances and massive action.
